Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Guidelines for preparing and submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Applied Information Technology (J-TIT).

01. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be written in English.
  • The title must contain no more than 12 words and should reflect the research problem, methods, and implications. Specific geographical locations should not be mentioned in the title.
  • Manuscripts must follow the official J-TIT journal template.

02. Author Information

Provide each author's full name without academic titles or professional designations such as lecturer or student. Author names, institutional affiliations, and addresses must follow the format specified in the official J-TIT manuscript template.

03. Abstract and Keywords

Abstract

  • Maximum 200 words.
  • Include the research problem, research gap, objectives, methods, main results, and implications.
  • Write clearly and concisely to communicate the study's main contributions.

Keywords

  • Provide 3–6 relevant keywords on the same page as the abstract.
  • Separate keywords with semicolons (;).
  • Arrange keywords alphabetically.

04. Manuscript Structure

4.1 Introduction

Discuss the research problem, previous studies, research gap, novelty, and objectives. The introduction should contain 3–5 paragraphs, each approximately 100–250 words. At least 80% of the references should come from reputable international journals or nationally accredited journals ranked at least Sinta 2, while the remaining 20% may come from proceedings, books, and other sources.

4.2 Methods

Describe the research context, design, data and samples, development procedures, data collection methods, and analysis techniques. Provide sufficient detail for understanding and reproducibility, including relevant ethical considerations.

4.3 Results and Discussion

Results: Present the main findings clearly and concisely using text, tables, or figures as appropriate.

Discussion: Interpret the findings in relation to the research objectives and previous studies. Introduce the information presented in each table or figure with explanatory narrative of approximately 100–200 words.

4.4 Conclusion

Address the research problem or objectives based on the findings. Do not introduce further discussion. Implications, limitations, and future research directions may be included where relevant. Write in paragraph form without numbered lists or separate conclusion and recommendation subsections.

4.5 Acknowledgements

If applicable, briefly acknowledge research funders and supporting institutions. Do not use this section to acknowledge co-authors.

4.6 References

Include all sources cited in the manuscript. Prioritize recent literature, generally from the last five years in scientific fields and the last ten years in other fields. Include relevant publications from the current year when available. At least 80% of references should come from reputable international journals or nationally accredited journals ranked at least Sinta 2; the remaining 20% may come from proceedings, books, and other sources.

05. Tables and Figures

  • Number tables systematically in the order in which they are mentioned in the text.
  • Give each table a concise title and use single spacing within tables.
  • Explain non-standard information in footnotes rather than in the table title.
  • The total number of tables must not exceed six.
  • Refer to each table and figure in the text and explain its relevance.

06. Manuscript Formatting

Paper size A4
Margins At least 2.5 cm on all sides
Font Times New Roman
Line spacing Single
Maximum length 10 pages
Page numbering Number pages consecutively from the title page to the final page.

Prepare the manuscript in Microsoft Word using the modified J-TIT journal template.

07. Citations and Referencing Style

Use IEEE citation and referencing style throughout the manuscript. Cite sources using sequential numbers in square brackets, for example, [1]. Include page numbers when quoting a specific passage directly. Authors are encouraged to use Mendeley Desktop or other reference management software to organize citations and references consistently.

08. Submission Requirements

  • The manuscript file must not exceed 2 MB.
  • The manuscript must use the modified J-TIT journal template.
  • All manuscripts must be submitted through the official J-TIT Journal website.
